Let's go Singing!

It's even better than singing in the shower!

Anyone who has spent serious time in Korea - knows exactly where to go for a great night "out".

Many Westerners are afraid of singing in public.  The only know about the karaoke bars back home.  But Korea has its own version - small singing rooms just the right size for you and a few friends.

Giant big screen TVs - sound systems you could never afford at home - and, well, just a few lubricating drinks and you are on your way to stardom!

Lousy singer?  Don't worry about it!  Nobody cares!  Really!  No one is going to laugh at you, everyone is just having a great time.  It is only that you try, have some fun, and spend the evening socializing with friends.

All the old favorites, and the new ones too, are on the list - and there are more songs in English than you can ever sing.  Forgot the lyrics?  No problem, they're right on the screen.

Many Asians, from Thailand to Japan - view the singing room as a way of letting your hair down, getting to know new people, and making friends.  Uh-oh . . . if you refuse, you might even be considered unfriendly.  Why?  Because it is all - really - just for fun.  In spite of what you have heard about "sober-faced" Asians - they love to have fun.  And a singing room is where it all starts.

Frankly, I am a lousy singer - but after a while you find a few songs that you are good at, practice them a little - and there you go - the next Carlos Santana!  Starring at a No Rae Bang near you!
