Taken at random, the following comments were made by recent trainees and graduates of our TEFL for Target Learner Groups Course. This is done just to give you a "taste" of  what our course is like. What you will not be able to see, in most cases, is the impressive number of countries these persons travelled from in order to attend our course.

The names and comments of these trainees (while still doing the course) and the course graduates are authentic, but e-mail addresses have been withheld to protect their privacy. The following comments are in alphabetical order by the writer's surname:

Ms Heidi Ajlani. I feel that I am ready now to take up a career as a professional EFL teacher. I feel very confident about being an EFL teacher because I got the training, and now I'm getting the experience.

Ms Ellen Avis. The course was helpful to me because it gave me a chance to consider teaching from a philosophical perspective, and to focus on methodology. I think I am now better prepared to teach a course with clear objectives, and to help students in a more systematic way. I have a better idea of what I'm trying to accomplish.

Mr Michael Copple. Talking about grammar really got me thinking. The books brought me back to the idea of how important grammar is. I plan on using Module Books 3, 4 and 5 throughout my carrer because there is an abundance of info in them.

Mr Stephen Earl. The course was helpful in a major way, to give a taste of practical teaching and the realities surrounding it in this part of the world. It also gave good resource material which can be used for future reference, and Ted Tucker (the trainer) was helpful and positive, which always helps. Modules 3, 4 and 5 have a lot of well researched and well put together material.

Mr Tony Finding. The course showed me how to plan properly and what to look for in the requirements of students with regard to a lesson. I feel somewhat different now, as I think the course has shown me how rewarding teaching can be.

Mr Daniel Genning. The course was helpful. We learned all the basic things, and had our teaching practice. The teaching practice was probably the most important part in this course, because everyone of us have been teaching students for six lessons by now.

Ms Victoria Gould. The course is very interesting and I'm learning something new all the time. I would highly recommend anyone to do this course, as not only are you learning, you have a very fun and enjoyable experience. I feel the course is all very well taught and I find it interesting. Also, the trainer is very good, which makes it enjoyable to attend every class.

Mr Craig Macintosh. The course gave me a better idea of how to conduct myself in the classroom environment. Having already done the CELTA before, it acted as my refresher course.

Mr David Mackenzie. The books are full of good resource material and can only help an EFL teacher during his teaching career.

Ms Mona Hafizah Mohamad. The course outlines the ways languages and their grammar structures differ. What problems do EFL students face when learning? It teaches how to look at language from students' points of view, making the teacher able to anticipate the needs of students.

Mr Olmo Poulsen. The teaching practice was very helpful. The theory gives a clear way to plan lessons. I really didn't know what to expect before I started this course, but have a good idea of what to do now.

Mr Tracy Powell. The course gave a very good introduction to the practice of teaching. Time to relax was also very important. A four-day week was very nice.
