happy with his new life as an EFL teacher. We'll let Bryan

I have had a variety of
types of work in my life, ranging from sales representative/sales manager to a DJ
working in night clubs in England. On coming to
Thailand, I decided on a
career change and took the TEFL for Target Learner Groups Course with TEXT-AND-TALK Academy in Pattaya. This was a challenge
for me, as I was never a very good student and had actually been expelled from school a number
of times in my age of innocence (or otherwise – editor)!
I gained employment
immediately at the end of my course in a government school at nearby Laem Chabang. When
school holidays arrived, I was again unemployed and gained casual work back at TEXT-AND-TALK in Pattaya teaching a variety of
classes.
Commencing on Monday
8th May, I return to full-time employment in Rayong. The confidence I
gained working in Laem Chabang allowed me to get an offer on the spot from a
large government school called Wat Pa Pru Du making 30,000 baht per month. If
that wasn’t good enough, I even get to work in all air-conditioned classrooms (a previously unaccustomed luxury)! I
will still work with TEXT-AND-TALK on weekends.
Because of my sense of
humor, my students nicknamed me “Mr. Bean”.
My trainer, David Solomon,
has actually changed my life from that of illiterate writer of stories about sweet little red
strawberries into that of teacher. David gave me the inspiration that I needed to
teach English well in Thailand. (On your life, however, please do not tell him I said so!)
